Tout ce qu'il faut savoir
Staying safe online
Always type the official address yourself instead of following links from messages or ads promising certificates. Never share bank passwords or codes received by SMS.
If someone asks for payment to “unlock” free classes, it is not from the official platform.
Making the most of free courses
Free courses are a great way to explore new areas and build basic skills. Combine them with practice: apply what you learn in small projects or at work.
Add the skills you learned to your CV and be ready to explain them in interviews, even if you do not buy the certificate.
Technical requirements
A phone or computer with an updated browser and a stable internet connection are enough to study. For video classes, a Wi-Fi connection helps avoid using too much mobile data.
Headphones are useful if you study in shared spaces, and a notebook helps you keep track of what you learned.
Language and translation
Since the course content is in Portuguese, the translate option in browsers like Chrome can convert text pages into English. Translations are not perfect, so read carefully.
If you find a course hard to follow in translation, try a shorter one first to see whether the format works for you.
When to consider the certificate
The certificate can be useful if you want a document to show what you studied. Think about whether it will help with a specific goal before paying the fee.
For formal requirements in South Africa, check with the employer or institution which qualifications they accept.
Résumé rapide
Make sure you have internet access and a valid email, start with one course, use only the official address and decide about the certificate at the end.
With these steps, you can use free online classes to learn new skills safely and at your own pace.
