What is a course like?
The courses have a start and end date. At the beginning of each week, usually Tuesday or Wednesday, the videos, self-tests, assignments, and readings for that week are released.
You can study whenever you want during the week, but the graded assignments have deadlines.
Task deadlines
In general, the deadline for the weekly assignment and the final exam is one week, and each allows only one attempt. The first assignment has a deadline of two weeks for those who start later.
Deadlines are not extended individually, so plan your week accordingly.
How much time to set aside
The FAQ recommends 3 to 6 hours per week, depending on your knowledge. Each weekly assessed task is limited to 60 minutes, and the final exam to 120 minutes.
Studying a little each day avoids rushing at the end of the week.
The two certificates
Confirmation of participation is for those who have accessed at least 50% of the material. The Record of Achievement is for those who have earned at least 50% of the points across all assessed tasks.
After the course ends, the content is available for self-study, but only confirmation of participation counts towards your account.

Is openHPI a paid service?
The courses are free. The exception is the courses on the Executive Education channel, which are paid for by HPI Academy.
Who can register?
There are no formal restrictions. A valid email address is all you need.
In what language are the courses taught?

Can I enroll if the course is already in progress?
