It's a platform with free courses organized by sector, such as construction, health, technology, tourism, and customer service. In addition to individual courses, it offers learning paths, diplomas, and operational specializations.
The same website has a job postings section, which is useful for the next step after the course.
Aprende.org
It is a portal of the Carlos Slim Foundation that presents itself as free, open, and universal access to knowledge. It brings together material on education, job training, health, culture, and human development.
It's a good option for exploring a variety of topics without any commitment.
Free courses from Coursera
Coursera has a section for free courses and a language filter to find courses taught in Spanish. Some content appears as free and other content as a free trial.
Before signing up, check the course label to see if it's really free.
The certificate
Each platform has its own rules regarding certificates. Check the course details before starting to find out what you will receive at the end and if there are any costs involved.
Learning is free in all three options; what changes is the type of document each one delivers.
How to protect yourself
Always enter the official address into your browser. None of these platforms require your bank password to unlock a free course.
Be wary of messages that promise a free certificate in exchange for personal data.
