The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, from the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and the Digital Economy, aims to build a base of technical talent in Nigeria. It's run in partnership with NITDA.

The 3MTT objective
According to the official website, 3MTT is part of the Renewed Hope agenda and aims to build Nigeria's technical talent base and position the country as a talent exporter.
It works with educational institutions, partners, and companies that hire graduates.
Phases
The first phase started in December 2023 with 30,000 fellows across all 36 states and the FCT. The site says phases 1 and 2 aim to train 300,000 young Nigerians.

How training works
In the first phase, fellows had self-paced online courses and in-person applied learning sessions, with over 120 partner organizations.
Most of it can be done remotely, but some parts require attendance.
Costs
There's no fee for fellows at this stage. The only financial support is training costs; transportation, meals, and other expenses are each participant's responsibility.
