The Servicio Nacional de Capacitación y Empleo (SENCE) is the body that administers the majority of training programs financed by the State. On its official website you will find current programs, postulation dates and the course search by region and modality.
There are in-person, online and mixed courses. Many are designed for people looking for employment, who want to change their career or need to certify a trade.
Qué necesitas tener a mano
Your RUT, your active ClaveÚnica, an electronic mail that you review consecutively and, according to the program, your Social Register of Homes every day. This covers most of the postulations.
Other institutions that offer training
ChileValue does not dictate courses in itself, but it allows you to certify work skills that you have through experience, something very useful if you work in a job without a formal title. The Ministry of Education, for its part, has study leveling and continuing training programs.
The National Employment Exchange also brings together job offers and, in some cases, links to related training. Combining these sources gives you a more complete view of what is available.
How to choose from so many options
Think first about your objective: getting a job quickly, changing areas or moving up a position. Obviously, filter by mode and time. A course that suits your routine has many more possibilities of finishing.
Increase your chances of falling
Posting early, completing all data and keeping your social information up to date marks the difference. In programs with many applicants, cups are assigned according to criteria defined in the bases, and an incomplete form can be left out.
It is also important to finish the course. Assistance and evaluations may be required to obtain the certificate, and some programs include later support to seek employment.
