Young people entering the job market are often labeled as apprentices, responsible for carrying out small tasks within a specific company. This provides them with experience, leading them to conclude that this is indeed what they want to pursue as their profession.

All companies, whether medium or large-sized, are required to offer positions exclusively for young apprentices. In other words, there are various job opportunities available for young apprentices.

Among many other options, there are the Correios Jovem Aprendiz (Young Apprentice) program, which offers various benefits. Therefore, if you wish to obtain more information about it, we suggest you continue reading and reviewing the entire content of this brief and explanatory article.

Young Apprentice - What exactly is it and how does it work?

As we highlighted above, the young apprentices program is clearly aimed at young people aged 14 to 24.

To be eligible for recruitment, you must be regularly enrolled in an educational institution, whether in elementary, middle, or high school, or even at the university level.

According to the Apprenticeship Law, approved in 2000 and regulated in 2005, all companies, whether medium or large-sized, must hire young apprentices.

Regarding the position you will hold, it will be defined based on the vacancy you applied for, therefore varying from company to company and from sector to sector, but always within a learning context.

It is important to point out that young people interested in working for a company should have completed, or be currently enrolled in, a public institution; however, the company they join can be either public or private.

Generally, the tasks of young apprentices are simpler, that is, administrative, but they contribute to their personal growth.

It is important to make it clear that the company, in turn, should not interfere with the academic performance of its newest employee, nor should it hinder their education and personal development.

In addition to always performing a good function, the student still acquires extra skills, which may be helping in future jobs.
